Festival Wellies & Macs

Shake your wellies – festival season is here!

We all know the rules, the minute anyone whispers the word ‘festival’, the Rain Gods hear, the skies open, the mud arrives and the Great British public party on regardless.

And when it comes to styling out wellies and macs, us Brits know how to do it. Move aside green farmer wellies and human sized bin bags – hello you beautiful rubbery, waterproof Barbour, Joules and Cath Kidston treats.

First up on the wish list, the contemporary British lifestyle brand, Joules, with their Olive Bulldog printed wellies, a classic British pattern contrasted with a shocking pink sole, creating a bold heritage look – guaranteed to get you attention amongst the crowds.

If you want something just as eye catching but a little less welly, how about these floral, Daisy Bed Ankle Wellington Boots. Dainty and practical from Cath Kidston – a feat in itself for wellies.

Or how about a classic – the signature Barbour diamond quilted design from Jones Bootmaker and channel that Kate Moss festival vibe.

So, that’s the toes covered, now to make sure we’re ‘Right as Rain’ regardless of whether or not it’s bucketing it down. The Golightly printed waterproof parka from Joules, in a classic navy with white spots, makes an ideal fashion statement whilst navigating those not so unexpected down pours.

Or you may want to go bigger and bolder, in which case, Cath Kidston has the solution, with the Thorp Flowers Long Raincoat. This floral number comes with a detachable hood and special bag to fold it away – practical and gorgeous – not forgetting the elasticated waist to maintain a flattering figure!

All these thoroughly festilious items as well as other festival favourites are available at Grand Central Birmingham. Head down today and treat yourself.
